Membership to IMLA is open to all Textile Testing Houses and Laboratories which have an interest in mohair and who have qualified for membership under the Rules of the Association.
New applicants should be in possession of the recognised test equipment and will be required to test a standard set of mohair top samples of know mean fibre diameter values for evaluation by the Association. Applicants who are existing Interwoollabs members do not have to conduct this initial testing.
All accredited members will also be required to participate in regular Round Trials. The results will be evaluated and published anonymously in coded format.
New members are required to pay a once-off admission fee. Existing members will pay an annual subscription fee based on the number of Test Methods they select.
The fees for the 2013 season are as follows:
